I’m Clarice Child, a Lake District- based illustrator.

I love to portray everyday scenes through bold colours and simplified shapes, creating a positive and whimsical outlook on life.

I spend a lot of my time outdoors, exploring new places with my girlfriend and our dogs. I find being in nature a good place to gather inspiration for my work.

I have always loved art and creating. Throughout my teenage years I would spend hours experimenting with different mediums and styles, but would always come back to my usual, digital work. I find working this way, allows me to have the creative freedom to illustrate anything that comes to mind.

Through focusing on my custom portrait business, over the years, I have learnt skills which inform much of the work I do now. I am currently available for a range of projects, including advertising, editorial, and children's publishing.
